Join the Alliance

This Alliance is an information resource comprised of industry-leading PC and software manufacturers, and related technology companies. It is committed to the public service of establishing common definitions for hardware Year 2000 compliance. This standard sets the base for comprehensive system (hardware & software) testing and compliance.

There are two categories for membership in the PCY2000 Alliance — Promoters and Adopters:

• Promoters — PC hardware /firmware developers and manufacturers who agree to define, establish and/or support a joint specification (“Year 2000 Personal
• Computer Compliance Specification”) for personal computer BIOS and hardware to address the Year 2000.
• Adopters — Software and other companies associated with the PC industry that endorse the “Year 2000 Personal Computer Compliance Specification”.
